C3 - Careers Connections Conference: For Women Who Are Going Places

  • Hollins University Roanoake, Virginia (map)

Marietta returns to her beloved alma mater as a participant in this sixth annual, daylong Hollins University Conference.

Her topic suits like a well-oiled baseball mitt: “Translating the Liberal Arts into a Career: Writing and Publishing.”

Selected alumnae will meet with undergraduates who will face the potentially daunting transition from college to career. There’s still no better place than Hollins to convince and prepare its students to seize opportunities and to create new possibilities. The sky is not the limit for Hollins graduates! Having first set foot on an autumn day on this beautiful campus, Marietta looks forward to strolling around Front Quad and looking up at Tinker Mountain.

Hollins University's fifth annual C3: Career Connection Conference was held October 24, 2016. Approximately 75 alumnae from a multitude of fields, including the sciences, writing and publishing, business, financial services, education, law, visual and performing arts, and public service, returned to campus.
