The phrase "Be Still, and Know" brings Marietta to Beaufort for the first time. She will be the keynote speaker at the annual gathering of regional chapter leaders of the Episcopalian lay order "Daughters of the King." Marietta gladly accepted the opportunity to examine Leaving 1203 with members of this international organization which focuses on prayer and service. Silence and solitude proved invaluable to her in "knowing" how to empty 1203. Further, the serenity that comes from "stillness" gave her the creative spark for writing the book.
