Marietta returns to the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women, participating in two English classes taught by Piedmont Community College Professor Ben Sloan. She will use Leaving 1203 as a blueprint for sharing her craft with the students enrolled in the second semester of College Composition as well as the Creative Writing class. Marietta always has questions! What story do you want to tell? How can you best convey that story? Are there tips for getting started? When will you know you’re on the right track—and when will you realize you’re finished? She looks forward to inviting students into the creation of Leaving 1203, and sending them off with confidence to pursue their own writing paths.
